The purpose of the Store Keeper position is to ensure the efficient control, storage, and distribution of automotive spare parts and materials to support smooth workshop and operational activities

Position : Storekeeper (Automotive Spareparts Experience Only)  

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and manage automotive spare parts inventory efficiently.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming spare parts and materials. parts consignments from suppliers. 
  • Approve the documentation from clearing agents regarding the shipment. 
  • Report any damages / shortages to parts supervisor and mentioning on documents of clearing agents.
  • Issue spare parts to workshop staff based on approved job cards and requisitions.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
  • Report on shortages and damages to Warehouse supervisor / warehouse assistant spare parts for preparing necessary claims.
  • Allocate of new bin locations for new spare parts.
  • Place all spare parts received in their allocated bin locations.
  • Provide the salesman in the front counter (cash) and garage counter with spare parts against job orders and / or invoices and / or delivery notes.
  • Regular and random stock checks on a weekly / daily basis as directed by the spare parts manager.
  • Upkeep stores by organize periodic cleaning of stores, report any damages with in the stores *water leaks, fire hazards, etc). 
  • Advice on safety and security matters to spare parts manager.
  • Assess requirements of shelving and bins and request for stores material on a regular basis.
  • Leave planning, job allocation, supervision of work etc.
  • Undertake annual stock take of spare parts.
  • Performing any other tasks as assigned by his/her direct supervisor. 

Education

·         Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Material Management or any related to Automobile Mechanic.

Experience:

·         Minimum 3-4 years of experience within Similar role in Automotive sector.

Knowledge & Skills:

·         Knowledge of Auto Parts , Inventory & Store Operation and material handling procedure.

·         Hands-on experience using CDK, Kerridge

·         Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.

·         Good communication skills in English; Arabic will be an advantage

·         Ability to work under pressure

·         Problem solving skills

·         Strong customer handling skills
