Position :
Team Leader – (KIA Service )
To diagnose
vehicle faults and perform repairs in accord with instructions provided by Workshop
Supervisor. To perform work according to the target times, to achieving
productivity, and standards of the Company.
Job
Responsibilities:
· Road test and advice the technician on any fault found or any remedial
work required.
·
Inspect each vehicle for additional work requirements.
· Secure approval from the Workshop Supervisor for parts replacement,
and/or additional work which may be required.
· Notify Workshop Supervisor ahead of time if the job completion deadline
cannot be achieved.
·
Maintain control of replaced parts in accord with company procedures
warranty control, bagging if customer pay, core returns and scrap.
·
Exercise care of customer’s vehicles, utilizing covers and mats to avoid
soiling the vehicle interior.
·
Inspect for unreported damage or personal articles and advise supervisor
of irregularities.
·
Create effective use of special tools and equipment to improve work
quality and productivity.
·
Maintain thorough and current product knowledge, reading manufacturers
technical publications.
·
Maintain relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their
potential.
·
Assist in maintaining work area in a clean condition.
·
Use safety equipment provided by the Company and notify supervisor of
unsafe practices observed in the workshop
·
Performing any other tasks as assigned by his/her direct Manager
Education
·
Degree
or Diploma in Mechanical / Technical
Engineering or ITI
Experience:
·
Minimum
3-4 years of experience within Similar role in Automotive sector.
Knowledge
& Skills:
·
Knowledge of auto electrical and
auto-mechanical parts and auto-components.
·
Good communication and organizational
skills
·
Ability to work under pressure
·
Problem solving skills
·
Strong customer handling skills
·
Knowledge of computer literacy and
workshop operating procedures.
